Health and Wellness

Health and Wellness, Healing and Wholeness are central to experiencing God and the fullness of life. “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength” (Deuternomy 6:5).

YOGA SUNDAY SCHOOL every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Centerpoint Conference Room, in the Heritage Building of the Highland Event Center. Hukum Singh leads this morning practice of yoga (for all levels) to awaken us for fuller worship on Sunday mornings and fuller health and vitality for the whole week. Wear comfortable clothes – and feel free to wear those same clothes to worship.

DISH AND DIRT: Faith for the Springtime is the theme for Lent this year. “Lent” is an Olde English word for “SPRING.” The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, the wonderful, sober reminder that “From dust you were made, to dust you will return” – i.e. enjoy, get busy, be alive! DIRT!!! Lent ends with Holy Week, including Maundy Thursday, which is a day to wash the dust off each other’s feet and share the Passover meal, like Jesus did with his friends. DISH!! DIRT is one small group that meets every Tuesday of Lent – considering how to garden organically, seed sharing, gardening tips, mapping out a community garden on church property. DISH is one small group that meets every Thursday of Lent – considering our relationships with food, healthy recipe sharing, healthy potlucks, the politics of food, and a cooking class. Every aspect of our Lenten life will engage this theme – of God’s amazing dirt / earth / creation and God’s amazing dish / shared meals / community. Come and be part of the faith exploration.

North BikesNORTH BIKES THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY WARM MONTH . . . Our parade of bikes / bikers meet at the Platte River trailhead (near REI) after worship with lunch, water, and a helmet!
